Shelter (쉘터), sometimes listed as Hunk Shelter, is a basement cruise sauna at 33-3 Sinbanpo-ro 47-gil in Seocho-gu. It's about five minutes on foot from exit 5 of Nonhyeon station (Line 7); look for a building with a sign in Chinese characters. It has a Japanese bathhouse theme, a maze, showers, private cabins and lockers, plus free condoms and lube, and it's open 24 hours. The Korean directory VAYL (prices as of March 2026, page updated October 2026) lists ₩7,000 by day (07:00-19:00) and ₩13,000 at night (19:00-07:00) for locals, and a flat ₩20,000 for foreigners at any hour. Foreigners are admitted at that rate, though some older reviews describe refusals. The crowd is mostly young-to-middle-aged Korean men with a muscle and bear lean, and it can be choosy. It's busiest on weekend nights and quiet on weekday afternoons. Oban (90 m away) and the men-only cruise club Equus are nearby if the door doesn't work out. Google rates it 2.3 from about 40 reviews.

Spent two evenings at Shelter Bar last week. Amadeo and Sebastian were great bartenders and DJ. Made us feel comfortable and welcome. Loved the play list. Easy to chat with both locals and out of town guests. Highly recommend.

A real find on our trip to Lisbon. Great background music, louder on weekends for dancing. The atmosphere is very pleasant and safe. Everything is well-maintained, and the restrooms are clean. They have a good selection of beers and cocktails, all of which are good quality and reasonably priced. It's not overcrowded like some other places where you couldn't even move. The owners, Amadeo, Sebastián, and Joao, are incredibly kind, friendly, and above all, good people. Highly recommended for starting your afternoon or evening. A 10 out of 10 in every way.
