Sofitel So Pool

Amazing view and excellent location. I have been staying at this hotel for the past seven years, and unfortunately, I have noticed a clear decline. It feels like management is no longer committed to maintaining a five-star standard. The property appears neglected, with no visible renovations or improvements over time. Attention to detail is missing, and smaller issues are no longer addressed, which gives the impression that the hotel is slowly deteriorating. I genuinely do not understand what has happened, as this used to be a place I truly enjoyed returning to. On a lighter note, I even noticed that small touches—like the coconut at breakfast—are no longer there. Based on my recent experience, I will have to reconsider staying here in the future. This is my first time in Bangkok, but the hotel made such a great first impression!! The staff who assisted me were incredibly kind, and they accommodated my reservation requests very well!! They even upgraded my room to a Lumpini view, which was fantastic!! There was also a Korean staff member, so communication was excellent!! I especially want to thank the kind staff members Tk, Tom, Nook, and Esther!! I visit Bangkok often, so I will definitely come back next time^^

It was nice experience with captain pop. Great hospitality from the check - in, he made our day. I will definitely stay here again someday.

Chef DA's chocolate-making class was excellent and everyone had a lot of fun. I highly recommend taking a chocolate class!

Really enjoyed my stay at SO Bangkok! My flight arrived super early in the morning, so I requested an early check-in. Unfortunately, my preferred room type wasn’t ready until around 12 PM, but the staff were very accommodating and invited us to relax in the executive lounge and enjoy breakfast while waiting. It was a nice touch and made the wait much more comfortable. We were also lucky to get upgraded to a Water Element room with a beautiful view of Lumpini Park. The room was unique and different from the usual hotel rooms, which made the stay feel even more special. The rooftop bar has an amazing view of the Bangkok skyline and is definitely worth visiting. The food was also consistently good throughout our stay. Overall, great service, beautiful views, and a very comfortable stay. The little touches from the team made a difference, and I would definitely consider staying here again when I’m back in Bangkok.

Fabulous rooms and breakfast, pool area little cramped, rooftop bar very cool, it’s a bit tatty round the edges, despite still being fabulous - I found most of the staff quite aloof, a bit jaded maybe, but this has to be prefaced by the fact we had just come from Cambodia where all the people you come across are the friendliest and loveliest anywhere in the world

A Korean staff member personally attended to me, making me feel very comfortable, and I was so happy that you even upgraded my room. I will definitely visit again on my next trip.

I had a wonderful stay at SO Bangkok. The hotel was stylish, modern, and beautifully designed, but what made the experience truly special was the kindness of the staff. Everyone was incredibly warm and professional, and having Korean-speaking staff made me feel so comfortable and welcomed during my stay.
