King of Drag is back for Season 2!

Join us at Villa Vida Café on Tuesday, 22 September 2026 at 19:30 for a public viewing of the King of Drag Season 2 premiere, hosted by Eric BigClit.

Come together with Vienna’s queer community to watch the return of the world’s first drag king competition show. Whether you followed the first season or are completely new to King of Drag, you are welcome to join us.

King of Drag Season 2 Comes to Vienna

Drag kings, it’s your time.

King of Drag is a competition series dedicated to drag kings and their artistry. The show puts drag king performance in the spotlight while celebrating creativity, character, comedy, style, gender expression, and the many different possibilities of drag.

Now, Season 2 is here.

For the premiere, we are bringing King of Drag to Villa Vida Café in Vienna for a community public viewing. Instead of watching alone at home, you can experience the new season together with fellow drag fans and Vienna’s LGBTQIA+ community.

Celebrating Drag Kings and Queer Performance

Drag kings have a long history within queer nightlife, performance, activism, and community culture. However, drag kings have often received less mainstream visibility than other forms of drag.

King of Drag puts kings firmly at the centre.

Who Is Welcome?

Everyone who wants to enjoy the event respectfully is welcome.

You do not need to be a drag performer or already know King of Drag. Likewise, you do not need to come with a group. Coming alone is absolutely fine.

Villa Vida is a queer community café. Therefore, we ask everyone attending to respect people’s names, pronouns, identities, boundaries, and personal space.

Discrimination, harassment, or hateful behaviour have no place at Villa Vida.

Accessibility at Villa Vida Café

Villa Vida Café is located at Linke Wienzeile 102, 1060 Vienna, inside the Türkis Rosa Lila Villa.

The Linke Wienzeile entrance has a ramp and an automatic door, and there is an accessible bathroom on the ground floor.

Seating is available inside the café. In addition, the indoor space is non-smoking.

As this is a public screening, the event will include audiovisual content and amplified sound. If you have specific access requirements or questions about the setup, please contact Villa Vida in advance. We will do our best to provide additional information and support.
