Yesterday my sister Priscilla and I ate puffed potatoes at your place in Antwerp, richly stuffed. It was amazingly tasty and nutritious. Great food and service, sublime! PotaE, you deserve an A with a snatch. Highly recommended!

Chosen for this restaurant because of the vegan option. The potato was simply filled with butter and cheese. Then a new one was made, the sauces were based on mayonnaise or yogurt so I ended up with a very dry potato with some vegetables. My husband ordered a kumpir with chicken, when I said you still have chicken on it he came to the conclusion that there had been no chicken on it at all. We should have said that and it was not charged was the answer, something we could not control ourselves. I had picked up the menu again and the vegan kumpir did list vegan sauces, only the ladies didn't know they had them so I just didn't get a sauce. Overall a very disappointing experience and not even good for once!

Super tasty lunch! We had put together two regular stuffed potatoes ourselves, you have plenty of choice for tasty toppings and sauce. The sweet potato fries are mega delicious with the truffle mayonnaise! Order at kiosk and delivered to table.

Yesterday 14 August we needed the simple supper in the vicinity of Antwerp Central Station and we ended up at Potae in the De Keyserlei via Google. I'm not a big fan of fast food because it usually includes a lot of frying products, but I wanted to get rid of this experience anyway. When you enter you have the McDonalds feeling for a moment through the selection machines to place your order, but extremely the friendly staff quickly make it clear that we can also order at the counter. For me it definitely is a plus, because it makes everything a lot more personal, especially if you come the first time and don't know what to expect. Upon entering, one thing is clear. This is not the traditional Kumpir restaurant we already knew. Hip and trendy are the first words that come to mind and that immediately translates into the way the Kumpir is made and composed. We both chose a stuffed potato. Our choice fell on Chicken Kumpir. We both have quite some experience with the traditional Kumpir, so there was a certain tense expectation about what we were going to get. We ordered at the bar and had an overview of the cold ingredients that would be used as a topping in the potato. Our choice was simple, do anything. What charmed me while preparing our order is that you can just see everything. Nothing in a filthy back kitchen. Everything is prepared in the open with an eye for hygiene. I love that. That's the way it should be. The crumb of the potato is mashed and the toppings are processed in such a way that every bite is a fun experience. Our order was brought to the table in a smart way. A small tray, paper pad and a solid cardboard container in which the prepared potato is ready to eat. A decent plastic spoon completes the whole thing. Let me get this straight. The style is Street food. The way the dish is made, and the way it is presented to eat, allows you to simply take it outside and eat it while walking. To be clear, we ate inside at a table. The location was squat clean. After the first bite it was immediately clear and we were united. This is just top for a very pleasant price and certainly sufficient as a hot meal. The toppings were nicely distributed in the potato which was at a lukewarm temperature so the food had a pleasant mouthfeel. Two kumpir and two drinks for something like 31 euros. That's also a top price. So about the dish, the staff, the preparation, etc... nothing positive. But still a small minus for the chain. It was a very hot day and the air conditioning didn't work. I think that could be better for a chain. When leaving the restaurant you have to clear your own waste. That's okay, but then you get to that clearing place and you still get that McDonalds feeling again. Put everything in one trash can. Personally, I would have preferred the cardboard tray with the skin of the potato to go into the residual waste while the rest of the paper, plastic and tin can be sorted. But again, these are negatives for the chain and not for the experience about the food and the pear staff. This has not translated into the shave we gave.

I really enjoyed it! I'll definitely be back more often. The staff are incredibly friendly and the service was lightning fast. 🤩

We enjoyed a pita sandwich with falafel and a pita sandwich with chicken here last Saturday afternoon. Really delicious and you could top your pita yourself with fresh vegetables and sauces. Especially the homemade garlic sauce is recommended. You can sit inside wonderfully! We will definitely be back!
