Never do this! At other hotels, you pay €5 for a shuttle from the hotel to the terminal. Here, I had to pay €20. But I thought, "I'll do it!" Now it turns out they just call a taxi and take you there for €20, and you're on your own to get back! That's another €20! People, that's how your advantage quickly disappears! Don't book here, find another hotel!
If you have to depart from Charleroi Airport at an inconvenient time, such as early in the morning, spending a few hours relaxing here is the best option. The shuttle service (not free) to and from the terminal is quick and efficient.
