Hotel Klek

Stayed last night, good location on my way to Split. My room was excellent and seemed recently refurbished. Good value restaurant on site, a 3 course set menu was €15. My price included breakfast but as I had an early start I had to miss it....however, they did supply me a takeaway breakfast of a sandwich, apple and yoghurt. Super stay, thank you!

Booked a room at their other facility not listed on maps. Arrived there on a horrobly narrow, unmarked country road, the door was closed. We called, were asked to drive BACK to Hotel Klek for the key instead of them coming over. What sort of service is this? The rooms are a joke, stinky with synthetic aromas and the smell of plastic, there is also a completely unnecessary and steep step before the entrance, just lovely for having to lift wheeled luggage instead of using it normally. Of course, breakfast is not served here but at their other location, Hotel Klek, meaning another drive on some of the worst roads. At breakfast, first they ask you what they want, then hand you the menu so you can see what you asked for is not there. 🙃 No vegetarian options, of course, and you cannot ask for vegetables, like tomato, cucumber, on the side, as they are not in the menu. Never in my life have I encountered such an anti-client venue. AVOID!

We stayed at this hotel for one night during a long 8-hour drive, and it was located right around the halfway point. It served its purpose as a place to rest, but there were a few things that made the experience less comfortable. We arrived around 9 PM and found the restaurant already closed, which was disappointing. Even more frustrating, there were repair works going on with a drill until about 11:30 PM, making it quite hard to relax and get to sleep. The hotel is situated above a large supermarket, which is convenient if you need anything, but it also means that in the early morning the parking lot becomes very busy and noisy. The room had air conditioning, which was good, but the window would not stay open properly and outside noise came in easily. That was annoying, although we had to get up early anyway. The facilities were fine considering the price. Nothing impressive, but decent enough for a one-night stop. Some areas felt a little worn or not well maintained, but overall it was acceptable for a short stay. I had chosen this hotel mainly because of the included breakfast, which had looked good in other reviews. In reality, it was quite basic: some cold meats, cheese, bread, and eggs only upon request. There was filter coffee and syrup-flavored water, but surprisingly, no fruit juice at all, not even artificial. Overall, it is an okay place if you just need a quick stop to sleep during a road trip. Just don’t expect too much and you’ll be fine.

Great and affordable option for a stopover. It's close to the highway and also only few minutes to the next small town. Rooms are simple but clean, staff is very friendly. Breakfast also very good.

🛑HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. We were there in a restaurant yesterday. we ordered 3 things from the daily menu. First we waited for soup for 40 mins, and then for main course all of us waited for a total of hour. When it finally came the meals were completly cold. Spaghetti with vegetables literally had ONLY one piece of carrot, that was 1cm long. We sent them back, they just heated them up in the microwave and ruined the whole dish. Never again 🤮
