Parc Henri Matisse is a modern park in the Euralille business district, between Gare Lille-Europe and Gare Lille-Flandres. Its quieter edges are used for gay cruising, reportedly at lunchtime and from late afternoon into the evening. The park is very public and overlooked by offices and station traffic. Treat it as a place to meet, not to do anything that draws attention: public sex is illegal in France, and discretion and awareness of your surroundings matter here more than in most cruising spots.

What makes the Henri garden particularly pleasant is its location near the station and the presence of a flock of pigeons which brings a unique charm and atmosphere to the place.

Beautiful, interesting, large communal park. Large spaces to hang out; small, natural kids play section, green areas and old architecture. A quiet space in a busy city. Really cool setting and a wonderful ode to a great artist. We enjoyed a coffee and pastry here, taking in the park.
