Aachener Weiher (Cruising)

Aachener Weiher is a park around a pond in Cologne's Neustadt, west of Rudolfplatz, and the city's best-known outdoor gay cruising area. It has been a long-tolerated meeting spot, busiest after dark along the wooded paths near the railway embankment; discretion is expected. A safety note: local media have reported occasional harassment and assaults by groups of youths at the spot, so awareness and caution are advised, especially late at night. Same-sex activity is fully legal in Germany, but public decency laws still apply.
