📸 Suggest PhotosOchsengarten — the name means "ox garden" — is Munich's primary leather and fetish bar. The venue has been part of the Glockenbachviertel scene for decades and serves the leather, bear, and rubber community of Bavaria with regular themed events, a basement bar with the appropriate darkroom infrastructure, and a door policy on key nights that enforces leather or rubber dress. The Müllerstraße location puts it in the centre of the Glockenbachviertel, a street that has been the commercial spine of Munich's gay district since the 1980s. Regular events include leather nights, bear Stammtisch, rubber evenings and Munich-specific theme nights tied to the Bavarian calendar (a leather bar in Munich cannot entirely escape Oktoberfest — the lederhosen nights have their own character). For leather and fetish community visitors to Munich, Ochsengarten is the essential stop; for visitors from Berlin or Hamburg who want to understand how the scene operates in Bavaria's capital, it provides an instructive comparison.

A nice little place, that is exactly what it advertises. A men's only gay bar. The atmosphere is pretty chill, the staff at the door was an absolute sweetheart and even reccomended other upcoming parties nearby. The drinks are very affordable for munich standards. Some of the customers don't quite understand the concept of consent, so if someone touches you without you wanting it, tell them off. The crowd is a bit older, but i don't mind that at all, just keep in mind if you do. The bathrooms are pretty dirty if you come late, but once again, it's to be expected and if you're just gonna pee and go back out, you will barely even notice. This bar might not be to everyone's tastes, but it's still a good location go to if you're a gay dude who is into the more kinky spaces out there
i was the victim of a verbal and physical attack here by a staff member. i went to use the bathroom and someone began banging on the door to the stall. i kept saying someone was in there and finally when i unlocked to see what was the matter the person tried to force the door open. i tried to hold it closed and then the person said i should come out and that i was in trouble. i came out and the person began physically dragging me out of the bathroom. i was very confused. the person kept pulling and pushing at me and finally pushed me out of the door. i fell onto the sidewalk and when i looked up he slammed the door in my face.
Great bar with great prices and even better service! Falk is a hilarious bartender who gave us some tips about Munich on our first night out (on a Monday) and we had a great time at Ochsengarten.
WARNING! I was harassed, taken out and recibe attacks by the “security” guy. From the beginning he almost didn’t let me in either for my queerness or my origins. I enter and I was in my way to the bathroom but I got stoped by the same security guy who enter behind me and says “a good guest is not the one who go first into the bathroom” which didn’t makes sense and then push me out… It seems you can’t use the bathroom when you come in. Even if the fear is that you will not drink anything, he can ask for buy something politely before going to the bathroom. Then the situations turn into a racist attack. If you are a POC or an ally, pls don’t go to this bar. The attacker SHOUT AT ME leaving clear it was a direct attack and making clear his dislike for my origins and physicality! Racism all over!
Bar is a time capsule and a must visit historical bar
