CSD Пирна

CSD Pirna is the Christopher Street Day for Pirna and the Saxon Switzerland district, organised by the local association CSD Pirna e.V. It is a demonstration and street event on the Marktplatz in the old town, with speeches, music and a march; the 15th edition ran on 11 July 2026 under the motto "LAUT FÜR ALLE, die leise sein müssen".

The event matters more than its size suggests. In 2024 federal queer commissioner Sven Lehmann spoke of several thousand participants, the largest such event in Pirna so far, and in 2025 the Saxon domestic intelligence service recorded three far-right counter-gatherings in town that day. For 2026 police expected a calm day, and the intelligence service recorded no counter-event in Pirna. The 2027 date had not been announced at the time of writing; the last editions fell on the second Saturday of July. Dresden is 20-25 minutes away on the S1 for an evening out afterwards.
