The Iberostar Grand Hotel Budapest is a mainstream five-star hotel on Október 6. utca in District V, a few minutes' walk from St Stephen's Basilica and the Danube embankment. It is gay-friendly, not a gay hotel. Rooms are modern, with satellite TV and free Wi-Fi, and the hotel has a spa area with gym and sauna, plus its own restaurant and bar. The location is about as central as Budapest gets: the Parliament, Chain Bridge and Andrássy út are all walkable, and the city's gay bars, concentrated in Districts V, VI and VII, are a short walk or metro ride away. Hungary's legal climate for LGBTQ people has tightened in recent years, though visitors in central Budapest rarely face problems.

Location is excellent, neighbourhood is safe and upscale, all of the staff are friendly and professional and very welcoming. The rooms are large with high ceilings, big tv, big bathrooms. The thing about this hotel is the crazy decor, looks like Euro Barbie’s Hotel, crazy silver chairs and couches in the lobby, red and white bedrooms. If they changed the decor/furnishings to contemporary with neutral colours they could charge more.
