Kicky's

The food was overall very good, although some dishes felt a little out of place as part of the tasting menu. The striploin was cooked to perfection and practically melted in the mouth. The sausage and fennel pasta and the burnt Basque cheesecake were also standouts. That said, the overall experience felt far too rushed. Multiple dishes were brought out at the same time, with not enough time between courses to properly enjoy each one. A little more spacing between dishes would have made the experience feel much more relaxed and enjoyable.

A Strong Second Visit, with a Few Frustrations I’ve been to Kicky’s twice now. On my first visit, I had the set menu and everything was spot on — both the food and the service. Each dish was tasty, well balanced, and thoughtfully put together. I recently went back for a second visit. I still love the cool, elegant décor and the friendly service, although the hip-hop background music can be a bit distracting and doesn’t quite match the atmosphere. I started with the pumpkin and stracciatella, and also tried the cabbage and bacon croquettes — both were excellent and full of flavour. One slightly annoying point: the menu states that all guests should order three courses including one main, though this wasn’t enforced. Even so, I wouldn’t have had the appetite for three courses. I asked the waiter whether the fish would be served with bones and skin and was told yes. However, when my mum ordered it, it arrived without either. Based on that information, I chose the chicken Milanese instead, which turned out to be just average. For dessert, I had the cheesecake — absolutely delicious, with a perfect texture. Overall, the service remains consistently great and friendly. While the food is often excellent, a few inconsistencies held this visit back from matching the first.

I’d been wanting to go here for a while and it did not disappoint! The staff were very attentive and delivered exemplary service with a welcome informal style. The food itself was simply stunning, with the varied menu championing Irish fare with Mediterranean flare. Eric and the team should be extremely proud of all their efforts! This restaurant is a must if you’re in Dublin!!

My wife wanted to book Kicky’s to celebrate my birthday. We chose to pay a visit just before we got the taxi to the airport for our flight home - as we wanted here to be our last impression of Dublin. The service was welcoming and we were quickly seated. We ordered the crab starters along with the muscles. With cacio Pepe and the sea bass for mains. A few non alcoholic drinks - we’d just finished a few distillery tours so no more drinking. The food arrived perfectly presented and with a smile from all wait staff. And each of the dishes tasted wonderful. Again, pricing was a little more akin to London prices but worth it. I thoroughly recommend a visit.

Excellent meal! The whole meal from beginning to end was mouth watering and the cocktails were delightful. The amatriciana was the best bite we had in our vacation to Ireland. Thanks, kickys!

The food at Kicky’s was 10/10. The best dining experience I’ve ever had. Ivet was such an amazing host and really talked us through everything. She deserves a raise !!!

We celebrated our anniversary and they gave us a free glass of Prosecco each. Fernando was the perfect host and recommended dishes to us. Food was excellent, we did the taste of kickys menu and every dish was 10/10, book in advance as it’s worth the wait.
