There is no same-sex marriage. Monaco recognises a civil solidarity pact (equivalent to the French PACS) for both same-sex and opposite-sex couples, providing limited legal recognition in areas including property, taxation, and next-of-kin rights. Full marriage equality is not available and there is no adoption pathway for same-sex couples. Monaco has no dedicated LGBTQ+ anti-discrimination legislation, though the principality's close alignment with French legal culture and its cosmopolitan, wealthy, international population creates a socially permissive environment in practice. There is no Pride event in Monaco.
