Spacious and neat rooms. But when we arrived the rooms were freezing cold and icy water in taps!. We had to ask twice before a staff came to our room to repair :( He was kind and helpful though

1. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful, and luggage storage is available free of charge. 2. Weekday check-in requires a card to enter through two doors, ensuring high security. The room is a quiet corner room on the 3rd floor with a good view. 3. The kitchen appliances, including pots and pans, a coffee maker, an electric stove, oven, and refrigerator, are all fully functional. A dishwasher, dish soap, and kitchen cloths are provided. 4. The shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom are Ritual. There are no power outlets in the bathroom; the hairdryer must be plugged in outside the bathroom.

I had a confirmed booking at this hotel for several weeks at a rate of €215, and based on this confirmation, I cancelled all other accommodation options. Suddenly, I received an email from the general manager, Haris, stating that my reservation had to be cancelled due to a “technical pricing error” on Booking.com. They offered me two options: cancel entirely or rebook at a “discounted” rate. Even with the 20% discount, the new rate would have been €800, nearly four times my original booking. Personally, I don’t believe this was a “technical error”, prices on Booking.com are entered manually by humans. It is understandable to adjust prices for new guests, but increasing rates for existing confirmed guests is unethical, leaving them in a serious financial disadvantage. I also suffered a financial disadvantage and opportunity cost, having cancelled other affordable options in anticipation of this booking. I strongly caution other travelers: bookings here are not reliable, and guests may be forced to pay much more than originally agreed.

It's very nice here, perfect location and nice rooms. A bit of a shame that breakfast is not included, but not a must in an apartment hotel really.

We stayed for two nights in late November/early December. Initially, we were very satisfied with the loft room; the view was great, and there was a kitchenette for cooking. However, we had to be careful of the "Z-shaped" chair legs while dining. I almost slipped when I leaned forward to reach for something, but luckily I held onto the table. A few minutes later, my husband wasn't paying attention and leaned forward to get something, so the chair slipped, and he fell to the floor, injuring his lower back. The hotel receptionist was very helpful, contacting a hospital and calling a taxi. We spent a long three-hour wait at the nearest emergency hospital to see a doctor and get medication. For the next few days, we had to cancel all the more strenuous pre-paid activities (like the Tromsø husky sledding trip) and could only do light travel in different cities in Norway.

A wonderful stay at Ole Bull Hotel! The rooms are spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, offering a perfect mix of comfort and charm. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home. Great location, close to Bergen’s main attractions, restaurants, and waterfront. Perfect for a relaxing and memorable stay in the heart of the city. Highly recommend!

The rooms are completely bare (not even a pod of coffee) and I didn’t sleep at all the last night because a drunk man was screaming and roaming in the corridors until 3am. The police came over.

Usually I don't write reviews but this hotel is definitely worth 5-star rate! Reception staff are sooo nice and helpful, can always call them for everything u need. We stayed for 3 nights and accidentally lost 2 small things😅but staff kept them well and waited for us to retrieve! Free laundry, well-equipped kitchen with dish washer and fridge, convenient spot just in Bergen central, I mean, what else could u complain!

Excellent! Super comfortable rooms with everything you need and more. Very well heated. Highly recommended. I would return a thousand times.

Lovely hotel, just like the photos. If you're sensitive to noise, ask for a room facing inwards because it's on a very central and lively street.
