Velamar Boutique Hotel

Just had 4 lovely nights at the Velamar , this hotel is probably one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in, kerb appeal may not be the best, but once inside you certainly change your mind , they cannot do enough for you , loads of lovely little touches to make your stay a wonderful experience, very family friendly, breakfast was delicious lots of choice , lovely fresh honey and fresh orange juice . It was my birthday whilst away , not only did they help to book a wonderful restaurant, but when we arrived back , I had a lovely bottle of fizz and a cake from the hotel , along with a lovely personal note , we would not hesitate to recommend this amazing hotel, and I for one will definitely be back. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at the hotel for making this a truly lovely stay ( apart from the barman who charged 3€ for some ice ) you can buy a huge bag at the supermarket a few minutes walk away for 1€ , that is my only negative.

What a gem. Lovely small hotel with the most welcoming and attentive nice staff. Decor is lovely. Bedroom was spotless as was the modern bathroom with shampoo, liquid soap etc lovely towels and large walk in shower. Hair dryer, in room safe and fridge also. Breakfast area was on roof with patio and delightful cooked and continental breakfast. Fresh orange juice and various coffees and teas. Small pool area with bar. Walkable to all the restaurants and bars and beach.

Velamar Boutique Hotel is a beautiful and relaxing hotel. The staff is very courteous and helpful, the hotel clean and comfortable. We very much enjoyed the soulful fado musicians in the lounge on one occasion. The location is not near old town but only 8 Euro taxi ride away. From the hotel, walked to the beach and along the coast, there were some nice cafes and restaurants in the area and a supermarket all within walking distance. A quiet hotel and location that we could unwind after a busy sight seeing day. Breakfast… perfect! We loved how the staff decorated and celebrated Halloween. All in all a perfect part of our trip!

Nice hotel, room was a wee bit tired, but very clean and bed comfy. Breakfast was amazing. Snacks available, and plenty restaurants around for dinner 10 min walk to beach. Right on the main road, so noisy. If you want to travel use Uber, very quick and good prices. Loule is worth a visit We would come back to this hotel.😀

Lovely clean hotel. Staff were lovely and helpful (especially the young blonde lady, sorry I cannot remember her name). Great breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice and a big block of fresh honey comb. This hotel is not near the strip nor old town but it is a short Uber ride away (or 40 minutes walk), but because the hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of the strip it is very quiet in the evenings for a good night sleep. The beach Olhos de Agua is just 10 minutes walk away which is worth a see. We had to leave at 7:15am for the airport on our last day and miss breakfast, we mentioned this to the reception staff a couple of days before and they provided us with a packed lunch instead - very thoughtful, thank you. The only small thing that they may improve on is the coffee/tea/milk was not replenished daily so we had to keep going downstairs to ask for more. Milk was not provided at all until we went down to reception to ask for it - otherwise a 10 out of 10 stay. I would recommend.
