PRIDE Košice

PRIDE Košice is the Pride of eastern Slovakia, organised by the Košice LGBTI+ association Saplinq and held every year since 2013. It is a festival of a few days with talks, culture and parties, built around a Saturday march through the Old Town.

The marches have grown from about 200 people in 2015 to more than a thousand in 2023. That year supporters of the far-right ĽSNS tried to block the route and there were scuffles. The 2025 parade left Kasárne Kulturpark on 23 August. In 2026 the festival ran 21–23 August under the theme IM/PULZ, with the parade on 22 August and Tabačka Kulturfabrik as the hub.

Dates for 2027 have not been announced. Past editions point to the second half of August, so check pridekosice.sk before booking.
