Sensations sits on Carrer d'Alacant, right in the middle of the Old Town triangle that forms Benidorm's gay village, and it has earned its reputation the quiet way: good drinks, easy conversation and bar staff who remember your name by the second night. This is not a show bar or a club - it is the kind of place you start the evening or wind it down. Music videos play on the screens, the cocktails are properly made, and the terrace tables are a fine spot to watch the village come to life. Regulars single out the staff, Sammy in particular, as the reason they keep coming back. Doors open at 8pm every night and the bar runs until around 2am, a little later on weekends. It sits a minute's walk from Plaza de la Constitucion, so it slots naturally into any Old Town bar crawl - and during Pride week in early September the whole street outside becomes part of the party.
