Nativo Hotel Ibiza

The main reason for only 3 stars is that they set the expectations too high. First of all, the hotel and the rooms: these are very photogenic. Whether you take a picture yourself, or take an existing photo, it all looks very idyllic. In reality though things are a bit dingy. The rooms are in fact quite basic, but throw in a white curtain and call it "bohemian style". The lay-out of the bathroom is impractical. It makes a huge difference which room you get assigned. Some are overlooking the pool, but some are facing a fence, a wall, or the street. Don't expect a lot from 'sea view'. Second, and more important, the service: you get a really friendly whatsapp message a week in advance, asking for any special wishes "so that they can make our stay unforgettable". So I mentioned a special birthday, and an arrival time in the morning. For the birthday they have a standard birthday kit: €30 for number balloons, normal balloons and a garland. Happy to pay €30, but for some basic decorations it doesn't feel like a 'special treatment'. Also, no one even referred to the birthday (despite having booked 7 rooms for the occasion). They don't need to, but then don't suggest that you care. For the early arrival they did exactly nothing. Check-in is at 15h. Full stop. So why ask when we will arrive? We had a very early flight, and it would have been nice if we could freshen up a bit. When asking about this they indicated that it's for themselves that they would like to know (so not to accommodate us) and they cannot match the cleaning schedule with the room assignment. We checked out at 7:45 am and asked if we could have a quick breakfast. No, breakfast starts at 8:00 am. They could have prepared a breakfast-to-go, but we should have asked the evening before (but how would we have known?) Finally, it bothers me that you pay €15 per day for parking. It is not a cheap hotel and it does not feel very welcoming. We knew upfront, and it is of course not a deal breaker, but given the above it is just another annoyance. So in terms of flexibility and the personal touch they could improve a lot. If that's not possible, then don't suggest that you can. All together it was okay. Breakfast was very nice. Our stay was unforgettable, but cannot say that Nativo hotel actively contributed.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Ibiza and can wholeheartedly recommend it. We were there for a bachelorette party and it was simply the perfect choice. The rooms were very clean, stylishly furnished, and we immediately felt at home. We would especially like to commend the manager, who was incredibly friendly, warm, and always ready to help. She went above and beyond to make our stay even more enjoyable and catered to all our needs. Thank you so much!

We really enjoyed our experience at this hotel. We were able to relax and unwind, which is exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely be back! I especially want to highlight the breakfast buffet (everything was very fresh and of excellent quality) and the friendliness of all the staff.

I liked the hotel; the food was excellent, and the customer service was good, although it could be improved. There are several areas for improvement. The first is communication. When my friend requested an extra night, they said she would have to pay later, and then they told us it was urgent that she pay immediately. Unfortunately, a cockroach appeared, but maintenance came and removed it right away. I couldn't find a hairdryer, but my friends had one in their room. Also, it's a 4-star hotel, and there was no body lotion! :/ And towels were nowhere to be found on the rooftop. Overall, I think the stay was good. The staff was friendly and attentive. The room was nice, and the food was very good. There are a few details that could be improved.

Amazing hotel with a real Ibiza vibe. 😎 The rooms are quite small, but otherwise top-notch, friendly staff, multiple pools, including an adults-only rooftop. Highly recommended!

The Nativo Ibiza is overall an “okay” hotel, but in my opinion far from a true 4-star standard. The property and rooms are generally fine and visually appealing, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Many things felt superficial, poorly coordinated, and at times unorganized. The most disappointing part was our experience with a pre-booked “Premium Birthday Kit.” Despite arranging everything in advance, almost everything went wrong: the surprise was initially delivered to the wrong room, the promised cake was completely missing at the time of the surprise and only brought later – which, of course, ruined the moment. On top of that, the execution was clearly below expectations (missing elements like number balloons, no clear setup, and not even basic items like cutlery were provided). The follow-up communication also felt unprofessional. There was confusion about what was actually included in the booked package, and the resolution felt more like damage control than genuine service. Overall: not a complete disaster, but for the price and the expectations of a 4-star hotel, simply not good enough – especially when it comes to service. I would not book it again.

We booked Nativo Ibiza expecting a premium family hotel experience. Instead, it became one of the most frustrating hotel stays we’ve ever had. The issue was not one mistake - mistakes happen, but a relentless pattern of poor service, broken promises, disorganisation and zero accountability. At this price point, the experience was nowhere near acceptable. Some examples from our stay: • An electrical safety issue in our room, where I received an electric shock from a lamp. We immediately raised this with staff, particularly concerning given we were travelling with our baby daughter. Despite this, there was no urgency and we were effectively expected to continue staying in the room for over a day until someone checked this out. Completely unacceptable. • Repeated restaurant failures throughout the stay: – Forgotten food orders – Food brought to the wrong table – Missing dishes that never arrived – Constantly needing to chase drinks and service – Having to go up and pay ourselves due to lack of attentiveness – Staff arguing with us over items we had ordered when we clearly had One evening we ordered an expensive steak sold by weight and specifically asked whether it had a bone in it. We were told no. It arrived with a huge bone, meaning a significant portion of what we paid for was inedible. • An extremely concerning allergy-related incident involving a family member, which should simply never happen at a hotel operating at this level. The final straw, however, was the handling of billing and management. Before checkout, staff explicitly confirmed to my mother-in-law via WhatsApp (screenshot attached) that we would receive a €686.34 discount in recognition of the problems during our stay. We therefore checked out expecting this agreed resolution to be honoured. Instead, the manager Robert was rude, dismissive and sarcastic at checkout, refused to apply the agreed discount and told us to “take it up with Booking.com”. We did exactly that. Booking.com then contacted the hotel, only for the hotel to refuse to honour the discount they had already promised. So after days of poor service, we were left dealing with yet another broken promise. Having since read other reviews mentioning Robert specifically, our experience sadly appears not to be isolated. To be fair, one member of staff - Nidia - was genuinely excellent. Warm, attentive and professional, she was the only person who consistently made us feel looked after. It is unfair on staff like her that the wider operation lets the hotel down so badly. The frustrating thing is that the hotel itself looks beautiful and has potential. But aesthetics alone cannot compensate for poor service, safety concerns, disorganisation and management that appears unwilling to take responsibility when things go wrong. We left feeling stressed, disappointed and misled. Unfortunately, we would strongly advise others, particularly families, to think carefully before booking.
