Bear Carnival Gran Canaria 2026

Bear Carnival Gran Canaria is one of Europe's biggest bear events, timed to coincide with the spectacular Gran Canaria Carnival season in February and March. Thousands of bears, cubs and their admirers from across Europe and beyond descend on Maspalomas for two weeks of beach parties, pool events, and the legendary carnival parade.

The event combines the warm Canarian winter sun with a packed program of bear-specific events: pool parties at the iconic hotels of Playa del Inglés, bear brunches, the famous Yumbo Centre nights, and the unforgettable Carnival Drag Gala at the Maspalomas Auditorium. The Gran Canaria carnival itself is among Spain's most elaborate, second only to Tenerife.

Bear Carnival Gran Canaria regularly draws 10,000+ bears from across Europe and is one of the reasons Maspalomas has become the undisputed bear capital of Europe.
