Hostal Porto Mar

My experience at this hostel was awful. We spent two nights here and couldn't get any rest either time. The walls are paper-thin and you can hear everything. The first night, the neighbors next door were talking so loudly it felt like they were right next to you, and the second night, a group of guys were shouting on the terrace until 2 a.m., banging and slamming doors. The bed is rock hard and the pillows are paper-thin. I'm sorry, but I would never stay here again. Oh, and since there's no staff at night, there's absolutely no security.

The rooms are standard for a hostel; the only downside is they don't change the sheets. It's a quiet, family-friendly place. The staff at the cafeteria are incredibly kind. I asked them for several favors, and they did them without hesitation and with a smile. You can order anything while they're open, and they'll cook it all up deliciously. I'll be back.

Good people

We booked a four-person room with our daughters for one night. There was no hot water, the room was extremely unclean, and the walls had no insulation, so we could hear arguments, shouting, and fighting from the next room until after 3 a.m., and management did nothing. The hallways reeked of tobacco. Since we had tickets to PortAventura the next day, we were leaving early, and there was no one around to complain. Awful.

small rooms but clean i recommand

Super shabby... The beds were rock hard, leaving you with a terrible backache. The walls were as thin as cigarette paper. The first night we could hear the people next door singing "forNi kar" as if they were right in our room... It was traumatic. There was a wardrobe that was actually a set of work lockers for storing your things... The bathtub was falling apart, and cleanliness was practically nonexistent. The receptionist was very friendly. But the first room they gave us reeked of tobacco (which is supposedly prohibited). We wouldn't stay there again.

Hostel in good condition, large family room with a large bathroom and bathtub. Standard beds. The only downside is that you can hear a lot of noise from the hallway and other guests. Happy with the place and very good value for being so close to the beach.
