TUFAN: The Official Closing Party

A TUFAN of a party to celebrate Oitij-jo’s Backyard Biennale collaboration with the Whitechapel Gallery. Oitij-jo is a vibrant community cultural hub and creative space.
This event doubles as a vital fundraiser to help OITIJ-JO Art Space cover the costs of moving, securing a new space, and continuing our socially engaged arts programming into 2027. We’re also hosting the international premiere of TUFAN Radio—we’re going to be causing a storm on the airwaves!
The Program includes:
Pre-loved Saree Sale (Grab a bargain early!).
Pop-Up Shop featuring limited edition prints, zines, and fashion/crafts by ace.rgb, Urukku.Bangladesh, Amena Zaman, and Oitij-jo. Food by Oitij-jo Kitchen.
Film Screenings (final showing of Process of Being Womxn / Labour, Migration & Home with @shala_paraa).
T-Shirt Block Printing Workshop by Rukia Begum (All materials provided).
Open Decks (Bring your USB!)
DJs playing hot eclectic music for to dance and bounce, expect South Asian Underground, UK Garage, and global bass and electro, jungle, DnB, Bollywood and Bangla vibes  late into the night. Featuring: Alex Neon, Amena Zaman, Khan-ki, Misbah, মm., DEBONAIR, and a Bkonsmoke b2b with ace.rgb, m4ria, and frostfight000.
