Lovely spa. Very quiet and great service

When we booked this hotel, we rang up prior to booking and asked which rooms had a bath, so we knew which room to book as we specifically wanted a bath. So we booked the room that we were told had a bath in it, and also mentioned on the booking notes that we required a bath. When we checked in and got to our room, we had been given a room with a shower. We went back down to reception and our room was promptly swapped for a room with a bath. I had high hopes for this place based on the pictures, it was still a quite a pleasant experience staying here, but most of the pictures show the more expensive rooms. The hotel did not have any “free amenities” that they claim to have. The ice machine on our floor was not working. Our room was extremely warm and we did not have air con. We could only use the bathroom with the extractor and heater on as they both turned on with the light switch. This hotel was pleasant but I don’t think the room we stayed in was worth the money that we paid, however, the separate £10 charge to use the pool was worth it.

I was gifted a massage today by my daughter at a spa I've been looking forward to attend for a long time. Nevertheless....the only reason im even giving this place 1 star is because of the amazing massage I had. I felt so relaxed I even fell asleep during my treatment! But other than that the spa facilities was in shambles and needs some serious TLC, not what I was expecting at all from such an establishment. Would not recommend!!

Stopped here for a wedding reception. The wedding breakfast was good with good service. But the bar service was slow. The reception staff had mixed up the room reservations and one customer did not get the accessible room he had booked. Also my room was nearly £200/night and they wanted £10 to use the spa. When you advertise hotel and spa I expect a resident to get it included in the £200 per night. The hotel was tidy and clean.

Only stayed overnight on the way home from Dundee. Excellent stay. Service very good, staff very pleasant and helpful. Beautiful hotel. Lovely gardens. Would have liked to walk around outside but the weather was against us. A little bit further to drive from M6 but there was road works on the main road making it seem like a longer journey. Will definately stay again and have recommended to friends and family

Had a brilliant 2 nights stay here. Really clean room nice and warm. Very friendly staff. Especially David and Paul. Managers - Restaurant. Couldn't do enough for us. Thank you. We will definitely be returning soon. Thanks 👍

We attended a four course charity ball here and decided it would be best to stop over and enjoy the hotel as well as the event. After searching the Internet for best deals we actually ended up booking through the hotel website on the members deal as it was by far the best deal. We booked a room in "The Clubhouse" which is a seperate building at the front of the hotel which has about six well appointed rooms. The beauty of the clubhouse is it was exceptionally quite and most of the rooms are on the ground floor, so no lifts. The en-suite was quite small, but perfectly adequate, with a walk-in shower. Everything is still fairly new, including the towels, which meant they were a little bit to fluffy, meaning my partner had to pick out bits of fluff from her hair, never had that little problem before. 😆. The breakfast was one of the best I've had for a long time. Quality products and hot, which you dont get very often nowadays with self service. The hash browns were the crispiest, hottest and best I'd ever tasted, so a massive tick for that. Service was good, attentive, but not overbearing. The view was good as the restaurant overlooks the gardens at the rear, though, due to the time of the year, there wasn't much growing and it looked like they were tidying things up before summer. We didn't try the Spa due to time limitations, but when we visit again, I'm sure we'll give it a whirl. The whole stay was over very quickly, but in the short time there we definitely knew we would revisit in the Summertime. A great hotel to use as a base for visiting the local highlights.

Really lovely hotel, very clean, staff were friendly. Breakfast was really nice in the walled garden. Only little thing was my room was right next to the ice machine which was a bit annoying occasionally

They advertise great views are they referring to the busy highway or the construction cause there is no view of anything it’s on a very busy road . Housekeeping was awful pool had such a chlorine odor you were sick in 5 minutes no ventilation at all do not recommend at all. It’s overrated overpriced
