Nice, but blocks smart TV access. No one watches live TV, so why block it?? Just want to chill.

Had the best few days here, food was amazing and drinks service in the evenings! Extremely welcoming staff who gave great recommendations for botanical gardens and the museum! - with shoutout to front desk Ashley especially - helped us sorting bag dropoff in Newcastle and really went above and beyond without even being asked, Completely made the trip - will definitely be back

The hospitality and warmth was examplary and noteworthy of mention. I would always recommend as a place where guests can stay. The impression made would last a lifetime drawing on the lived experience.

If you ignore the hassle of parking, it's a good place to stay. Quite central... Dotted with so many pubs and eateries. Buzzing with students as it's close to the university

Very clean, comfy beds, helpful staff and plenty of USB sockets! The room was quiet, hotel well looked after and breakfast buffet very good. Would stay here again

We stayed at this hotel last week, and we highly recommend it. A small detail that really stood out was the wonderful fragrance in the entrance and lobby area. It created a fresh, welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived and made a great first impression. Staff were very kind and professional. We will definitely come back! This Holiday Inn was a great one to visit. The staff were very pleasant, helpful, and down to Earth. Location is pretty central with access to the town within a short walking distance. Very pleasant stay overall.

Room had no fridge, and no nearby overnight car parking, but otherwise a decent place to stay.

Lovely and quiet as a Sunday night.... Late dinner and ordered the Steak Frittes and Eton mess! Really lovely food!
