La Pedrera Small Hotel & Spa

La Pedrera blew my mind. The hotel is top-notch, the breakfast is incredible, the whole hotel is amazing, but the staff deserves all the stars: 10/10. Esteban, Mateo, Gabriel, Jesús, Junior, and the girl are the best. ♥️

A very nice experience, the landscaping is beautiful and the common areas are spotless. They offer a generous and varied breakfast. The staff is outstanding for their helpfulness and attentiveness.

A space with very good energy, both from the place itself and from the staff in general.

The place is very nice and quite comfortable. There are a lot of stairs depending on the room you get, so keep that in mind as it's not accessible (they don't mention this). I would have liked more variety in the breakfast; perhaps one is used to Argentinian breakfasts, but overall it's good and changes daily. The service is quite good; they give you a breakfast kit if you don't eat breakfast, but on our last day they forgot to prepare it and we left without. They tell you that the service mug is optional and they print it for you at checkout (something to keep in mind so you don't run out of cash at the end). The facilities are fine.

Excellent inn, beautiful view, very good staff service, very good breakfast and excellent kitchen and bar if you decide to eat there or have a drink.

The receptionists often failed to fulfill room service requests and didn't even record requests for the housekeeping staff. One day we asked for shampoo and they didn't have any. Another day we asked for soap, and when we returned from the beach, there was none. On another occasion, we left a bottle, and when we came back, no one knew where it was. Also, very loud music could be heard from the room. When I mentioned it to the receptionist, his response was that he couldn't do anything. On the day of my departure, I wanted to pay the bill that evening, and the receptionist insisted I pay later, even though I wanted to settle it right then. I also had an uncomfortable experience with a waiter who offered me drinks several times. When I asked if they were complimentary, I didn't quite understand his answer, and they ended up charging me for them. For two days, there were cockroaches in the bathroom. They cleaned the room but didn't remove them. Another night, they cleaned the room and put my sleep mask in a drawer without telling me. I was worried because I thought I had lost it. The truth is, all these situations made for a bad stay. It was my vacation, and many times I felt the hotel didn't live up to expectations. I didn't feel comfortable or relaxed, which is exactly what you expect when you're on vacation. I left with a bad feeling and a bad taste in my mouth. I work in the hotel industry and I fully understand what it means to work with people, as well as the importance of hospitality and service. Unfortunately, I felt this hotel lacked it. Being in the off-season, the service should be much more attentive. In any case, I want to highlight the excellent service provided by Claudio, Mateo, Junior, and Leticia.

The LED lighting needs updating; it must have been very good in its time, but it lacks maintenance. Breakfast is good, but it lacks variety and freshness. The ordering system slows things down a bit. But the food is delicious. The service and attention in general are very good, and the staff is very attentive. We had a bad experience with a bad smell in the bathroom, which could have been addressed more proactively. Also, one afternoon we found a fake nail in the bathroom—an unpleasant surprise. However, these were minor issues that overshadowed the otherwise excellent service and lovely hotel.

The best hotel in Buzios. Rooms, food, and cleanliness. I've been visiting this beautiful place for 10 years and it gets better every year. Special mention to Leticia, Esteban, and the team. Thank you for all the love!

I needed a few days of rest with my husband and we found this inn. Absolutely everything is a 10/10. Everything was clean and smelled wonderful, the bed was soft, and the view was breathtaking. The best caipirinha in Búzios. Exceptional service. Gabriel and Estevão certainly made our stay even more unforgettable. Thank you for everything, guys.

Had a lovely stay at La Pedrera. The staff was very attentive and kind. They helped us book transit from Rio, a boat trip for the day and massages. The room was clean and had a nice view of the ocean. We could also get to the downtown and different beaches with a quick uber. Would recommend!

If I could, I would give 6 stars because everything is so excellent at this pousada… the welcome, the service, the kindness and smiles of the staff, the facilities, the view, the pools, the kingly breakfast with a different selection each morning, the well-maintained garden, the cocktails, the spacious and clean room with an endless view of the sea. We didn't use the spa, nor the massages, nor the free yoga classes at the end of the day. The pousada is a 10-minute walk (uphill and downhill) from João Fernandes beach and 10 minutes from the Ossos neighborhood and beach. To get around, you can use an Uber or take a van (5 reais) to go anywhere in Buzios. Thank you very much to the entire pousada team: Laetitia, Junior, Mateo, Estevão.

An intimate place with an incredible view of João Fernandes beach bay. The rooms are beautiful, and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast is excellent. I highly recommend this place.
