Об этом месте The Rainbow Bar

The Rainbow Bar is a laid-back LGBTQ+ bar and bistro in central Curitiba, a good spot for happy-hour drinks and casual bites before a night out. The rainbow branding is on the nose, and the vibe is welcoming and low-key — a neighbourhood queer bar rather than a big club. Google reviewers give it 4.2.

I arrived from São Paulo and went to check out the bar around 7 pm (September 13th - Saturday) and, contrary to what it says here on Google, the bar was completely closed. It's rather frustrating to follow the advertised information and be disappointed.

Review Summary: - Exorbitant price, different from what was advertised - Completely empty place on a Friday - Lack of inclusion in service for the trans community - Few vegan options - French fries ordered without bacon came with bacon I had high expectations, I was very excited to sing karaoke, and in a place geared towards the LGBT community. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed and I can't list anything positive about this experience. Starting with the entrance fee: on Instagram, they told us that the entrance fee was R$ 10 or R$ 40 minimum consumption; when we arrived, they charged us R$ 15 or R$ 60 (!!!) minimum consumption. How can you advertise one price and then charge another? On the day we went, there wasn't a soul there, it was just our group of 9 people. It was a Friday night. We stayed from 8:30 pm until midnight and no one else showed up! There's no fun in singing karaoke like that. I found the karaoke setup and menu to be organized despite everything. Another point is that the staff addressed us according to our appearance, using "young man" or "young woman." I'm sorry, but an establishment that claims to cater to the LGBT community cannot, under any circumstances, have staff who presume someone's gender based on their appearance: this can lead to embarrassment for a trans person. It's basic, and it's shameful to have to talk about this in 2025. At one point, we ordered a portion of french fries. We asked for them without bacon or cheese, as one of the people in our group is vegan. The person serving even asked if we wanted bacon, and I said no. When the fries arrived, guess what? Bacon on top. I said that wasn't possible, as we had a vegan person in the group. The person serving took the fries away and minutes later brought another, but apparently it was the same, and they had only removed the bacon from the top, as it was cold and tasted like bacon. Honestly, one of the worst expenses I've ever had.
