Very good service at the Hotel Virrey, clean rooms, tidy pool, convenient location near restaurants and the beach, excellent service, nothing to complain about

Very good hotel, very well located, several breakfast options, and everything very clean

We stayed in May of this year, and unfortunately everything was terrible. The room had no hairdryer, no hangers, and you couldn't even light a candle. The towels were torn, and the beds were bad. Breakfast was awful; there was no breakfast available. The eggs were scrambled with leftovers from another meal, and the staff's service was horrible. Cleaning was lacking, and the bathroom was never cleaned. The pool was very nice, as was the location. I wouldn't return! The

The staff is very attentive and tries to fix all the hotel's problems, but they don't have enough resources to address all the deficiencies. Luis was very helpful and assisted us with our luggage. They were also very patient with us when we couldn't pay because there was no electricity upon arrival. The room was nice, but it was dirty: hair and staples on the floor, and the curtains were very dirty and hung right next to the bed. At night, we tried to shower, but there was no hot water. They told us there was no maintenance staff and the only option was to move us to another room. They showed us the shower in the other room, but there was no hot water there either, so we stayed in the same room. They assured us that the problem would be resolved first thing the next morning (6:00 am). I had to go back down at 6:30 am because we still didn't have hot water. Maintenance staff were there, they "fixed the problem with the boiler," but the water was still cold. We had to shower with cold water. It's very expensive for the service they provide.

The hotel was very nice! Impeccably clean, it just needed a little more ventilation! The reception staff were very unfriendly. The Wi-Fi in our room never worked, and we complained several times due to work-related issues! Several of the towels were stained with blood (not just dirty). The breakfast was awful (hopefully they'll improve it). We had to go to Juan Valdez and Starbucks on the corners for breakfast the rest of our stay, and the staff were incredibly unfriendly!
