Zoba Club

They treat you badly from the moment you walk in until you leave. The only one who treated me well was the bartender; he was a sweetheart. After that, the mistreatment started from the moment I walked in, right up until the moment I left. The manager, or whoever he was, kept following me and my group around and making a fuss about everything. For example, when a friend bent down to pick something up off the floor, he started yelling at her—literally YELLING—that she couldn't SIT ON THE FLOOR (she had dropped a piece of paper and was picking it up so it wouldn't litter). They also made me pay an entrance fee even though I already had a free ticket, but they decided to let all my friends in for free except me (I totally regret paying that fee because, due to the mistreatment, we weren't even there for 20 minutes before we left). Like the things I mentioned before, several other things happened. I won't list them all, but what I will say is that I would never go back.

I do not know whether was it for my skin color or that I'm not from Uruguay, the people at the door were pretty rude. What a way to welcome customers.

The best place

I go to Zoba often because the other gay dances in the city are honestly embarrassing, and this one, despite everything, has a nice atmosphere. You always run into people you know and friends. What they really need to change urgently is the DJ. I don't know what criteria he uses to choose the music, but it's awful. He's stuck in 2015. The music is really bad. Obviously, you dance because you're already there, and well, there's no other option, but it's something everyone you talk to in the courtyard complains about. The themes are always the same and boring. March 21st, Saturday: the change in the music selection was amazing. Great music all night long! 👌

One star because I can't give it zero. The music the owner plays is awful; he picks songs that are completely out of place, and the mixing is terrible. I grabbed my things and left when the "DJ" played "Las Divinas" from Patito Feo. I gave him plenty of chances, but I realized he always plays the same awful songs. I'm never going back.

Good afternoon, I want to share my experience at this gay club in Montevideo, Uruguay. We live in Tenerife, Spain. We went to the club last Saturday since we were spending a few days in Montevideo. Upon arrival, we were greeted by two male hosts dressed as angels who barely said hello. They didn't invite you to take a picture with them, they didn't tell you about the place, and they didn't suggest anything. When we went to the bar alone to get the complimentary drink included with the entrance fee, we found very little variety in liquors in general. There weren't many options to choose from, and what the bartender suggested was of very poor quality. I ended up drinking beer because the gin was terrible; even a Gordon's tasted better. I should also mention that the floor felt quite sticky, like it hadn't been washed. It wasn't one of the cheapest places we visited, but they don't provide the quality or service that they charge for at the entrance fee or with their drinks. I hope they improve and can grow because the music was really good.
