The Cobalt Cabaret

Awesome venue we saw Jonathon Goldie in concert and it was great sound and a cool, intimate atmosphere!! Definitely one of my favorite spots in Vancouver for live shows.

Walking into The Cobalt Cabaret felt like finding a hidden spot where creativity runs free. The room is small and simple, but that makes the music and performances feel close and real. When the show started, it felt like the artists were right there with us, sharing their energy instead of performing far away on a big stage. What stood out to me was how relaxed and welcoming the place felt. People were chatting, laughing, and enjoying the night without any pressure. The sound was raw and exciting, and every song felt full of personality. By the end of the night, I felt like I had discovered something special that not everyone knows about. I would tell anyone who likes live music, unique shows, and places with character that this is a fun spot to spend an evening and feel part of the local scene.

Awesome venue in Vancouver, BC. Super friendly staff and nice sound system. Two restrooms. Nice sized bar. Played there twice and loved it both times.

Best place for Shows ever glad they didn't close for good

The last time my band played here, they kept the back door open for our entire set, in the middle of the winter, and got mad when we tried to close the door because they were “expecting a delivery”. It was so cold that none of our fans stuck around and everyone on stage had to wear their winter gear.

The venue itself leaves much to be desired (small, inefficient bar/line ups, low ceiling, pillars, sketchy neighborhood) however the staff and patrons, at least on 80's music nights and special events, are awesome!

Cobalt is a great venue for smaller shows that have a wicked vibe. Recommended to come check out some gigs here.
