Admiral Motel By OYO Chicago I-94

Overbooked after I paid, located in a sus area. Did not see the rooms, but didn't want a room anyway. Looks grunge

I came with my girlfriend for a weekend in Chicago and even though the reservation was paid in full they insisted when I got there they had no rooms told me they couldn't process a refund because I need to contact expedia to get that. So sent us packing without a room on a Friday I've inquired with expedia 3 times since (it's been 3 weeks) expedia can't make contact with anyone from the hotel at all to approve the refund request. Place is dirty rundown and clearly outright criminal or negligent. They took and kept money for a stay that never happened. Oyo has been no help either just getting dumped endlessly into call centers that I'm assuming are offshore talking to people with accents that are thicker than a bank vaults door. From the looks of the lobby and parking lot if they had a room for me the reviews wouldn't be much better but at least they would have attempted to hold up their end of the deal. Wouldn't recommend staying here or anywhere with Oyo

Roaches n mosquitoes n mice poop rooms smell horrible its in a very sketchy not so good neighborhood dirty rooms dont even think they clean the rooms ill be calling the health department

Other than the staff being friendly and helpful this motel was way below my expectations. 1. I made and paid for my reservation online and upon arrival I was told there wasn’t any room available they said I should have called ahead to make sure I could be accommodated I informed the lady at the front desk that they should have being aware online if there wasn’t any rooms because when I looked at their other location on65 and King Dr they did inform me no rooms were available. She then told me that the only room they did have available didn’t have a tv I ask was I able to be discounted and she said she didn’t know . I told them I traveled from Indiana and knowing that it would take 3-5 business days or more to receive a refund I didn’t have a choice but to take the room the furniture was raggedy the toilet was broken and leaking no tv curtains wasn’t properly put on the window bed was itchy and there wasn’t any chairs in the room I am truly disappointed in my experience and wish I could’ve gotten a refund instead I was so disgusted with the room I left after only being there 3 hours I would not recommend them to anyone but I can say their staff were compassionate and helpful I think I will be reporting this establishment to the BBB
