Cincinnati's gay scene is centred on the Over-the-Rhine and Mount Adams neighbourhoods. Dedicated bathhouses are limited — the venue that used to serve this function closed — but there are gyms and clubs with sauna facilities that the community uses.
Club Cincinnati
The main men's club in the city — operational since the 1980s on Reading Road in Bond Hill. Dry sauna, steam room, whirlpool, lockers, and a lounge. $20 day pass, open daily noon to 10pm (later on weekends). Mature crowd, primarily 40+, bear-friendly, body-positive atmosphere. The primary gathering spot during Pride, which draws 280,000+ to Sawyer Point in late June.
Xpert Fitness
In Mount Adams — near the gay bar strip, open until midnight. Infrared sauna, steam room, small whirlpool. The most convenient option if you're already in the Mount Adams area for the evening. $18 entry.
Anytime Fitness (Evendale)
A chain gym in Evendale with a dry sauna in the men's locker room and whirlpool. $15 day pass and open 24/7 for members. Attracts out-of-town visitors and younger crowds. Not explicitly gay but informally known in the community.
Cincinnati Gay Scene
The gay bar scene is in Mount Adams and Over-the-Rhine — Twist Social Club and Neon's Unplugged are the main bars. Cincinnati Pride (late June) draws significant crowds to Sawyer Point for a two-day festival with three stages. The Over-the-Rhine neighbourhood has gentrified significantly and is increasingly walkable and gay-friendly.
