SIXTY DC

This hotel charges $500 a night just to completely disrespect its own guests. They blast music from their rooftop club, which they own, until at least 1am. We stayed on the top floor and the noise was unbearable. When we called to complain, staff acted like they had no idea what was going on. (They did). They moved us to a lower floor, but the music was still very loud. There is nowhere in this hotel where you can escape it. If you actually plan to sleep, do not stay here. Vacation ruined by corporate greed.

A good stay, but likely wouldn’t book again. My husband and I booked this hotel for our honeymoon stay. The first few days were very enjoyable - Valet parking was convenient, the room was nice and clean, staff were friendly, all was well. The close location of the hotel to the nearest metro station was nice as we also traveled frequently by metro. Not quite sure what happened, but from the middle of the week and on things seemed to fall apart a bit - namely with housekeeping. On Wednesday and Friday we returned back to our room after hours out, only to find that housekeeping hadn’t been in, bed unmade and dirty towels still on the floor. On Wednesday it was after 4:00pm when we returned and approximately 5:15pm when we left back out again. Came back to find things made, meaning it was rather late in the evening when they finally came. On Friday, we returned approximately 4:40pm to the same thing, no housekeeping. We called downstairs and they had someone send us towels. The sweet lady at our door asked if we needed anything else and we politely declined as we were ready to settle in for the evening. Well, 6:30pm rolls around and someone different shows up asking about housekeeping and we again declined. We think that’s rather late? Long story short, not sure what expectations are as far as timing goes but we were rather disappointed. We’re not messy people either, all we wanted was to come back and unwind in a fresh space. Our only other major complaint was the music from the rooftop lounge, it was LOUD. We knew there to be food and music offered late into the night on weekends based on the website. But what we were expecting was more of a relaxed vibe, not the sound and feeling of deep bass thumping well into the night. We were on the fifth floor and it was still bothersome, we definitely slept better earlier in the week when the lounge was closed. But we now know for future. Random tidbit, but right before our stay we were sent an email asking about any special occasions so our experience could be tailored to us. We selected the honeymoon option and submitted… but nothing ever came of it? I mean we certainly weren’t expecting a big to-do, but no one ever even mentioned it? Not sure what we were expecting, but it definitely left me wondering given our excitement to celebrate our recent marriage. Overall, not a bad stay but just not quite sure the price fit our experience.

Location was perfect, near lots of good bars and restaurants plus the DuPont Circle metro station. Rooms were fabulous and clean. Food options were great and staff were helpful. That said - I wouldn’t stay here again. The upstairs bar is insanely loud - especially if you stay on the 6th floor. The music starts early and continues through 1 am on the weekends. I expected a little noise- but not so loud I could hear over headphones. Such a bummer because it completely ruined an otherwise great stay.

Stayed at Sixty DC over a long weekend. The hotel has a rooftop bar which is open from Wednesday-Sunday. On Friday and Saturday, they seem to be open until 1 AM. Stay here if you want to stay at a bar/club. It’s not a hotel. The loud music until 1 am from the rooftop can be clearly heard and felt in your shaking room. Absolutely ridiculous. There was no mention of this anywhere and definitely not at check-in. We would have stayed elsewhere had we known. The staff couldn't and didn't do anything about it.

I had a nice time at this hotel a few weeks ago to meet a professional connection. I enjoyed my time there and room size, king-sized bed. I had one of the suites and was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable it was and the professionalism of the staff. Quick service, friendly and I stayed with my wife/dog. It's walking distance to restaurants and mass transit. However, it was on Connecticut Ave on a block with several bars and got very loud at night. It was St. Patrick's Day weekend so it's understandable and may be less noisy on a regular weekend. Overall, i would come back and my only complaint was noise, which is not under the control of the hotel anyway.

Let me start by saying this place is terrible for a number of reasons—but I’ll begin with the positives. Jonny was amazing and very kind, and the rooms were decent (though I’ve definitely stayed in better for less money). My girlfriend and I booked this hotel for a couple of days while visiting DC. Right away, they tried to overcharge me for parking. The website lists it as $60 per night, but I was told it would be $70. There’s also a bar and restaurant in the hotel. It’s fairly small, but the music is so loud that you can hear it clearly from your room—it’s impossible to ignore. We decided to check it out anyway. I don’t drink alcohol, but we ordered one drink for my girlfriend. The bartender seemed overwhelmed and disorganized—he spilled her drink and then took nearly 20 minutes to remake it. When we finally got it, it tasted okay. I was charged $18.69, and because of the service, I chose not to leave a tip. However, I later noticed an additional $20 charge added as a tip without my authorization. I tried to resolve this the next morning, but kept getting passed around from one person to another with no real help. To make matters worse, at checkout they added another $37 per night “amenities” fee that was never clearly disclosed upfront. On top of all that, most of the staff came across as rude and uninterested in helping guests. Overall, you can definitely find better hotels in the area for less money—and with far fewer headaches

We worked with SIXTY DC for our wedding room block and had an absolutely amazing experience. I can not thank Katherine and Mae enough for always being on top of it! From check-in to check-out, the service was impeccable- truly some of the best hospitality we’ve ever experienced. The entire SIXTY team went above and beyond to accommodate both us, our family and our guests- making everyone feel welcomed and taken care of every step of the way. A huge thank you to Katherine, Johnny, Kajah and Alison who went above and beyond for us, always with a smile and going out of their way to make our stay, and that of every single one of our guests feel extra special! The hotel itself is stunning, immaculately clean, and perfectly located in Dupont Circle, which our guests loved. The rooms are beautiful and sleek- especially the Treasury Suite which made for the perfect bridal suite to get ready with my girls in the morning! We received so many compliments on our hotel choice, especially since we had our wedding ceremony and the reception at Casamara (on the rooftop!!) and our cocktail hour in Reynolds - it made the whole wedding weekend feel elevated and seamless. I highly recommend SIXTY DC to anyone who is looking for a chic, well-run hotel for a weekend stay, a wedding hotel block or any special event!

Loved everything about this hotel, and Johnny who checked us in really stole the show. He made us feel special at check-in and gifted us the tastiest macarons to enjoy for my birthday. Our room was great - comfortable and well stocked. The hotel is centrally located so we walked everywhere. Don’t miss out on Reynolds either. Thanks for having us - we’ll be back!
