Catbird Hotel

Funky hotel in Denver's RiNo district. The rooms are comfy and well appointed, the lobby makes for a nice communal space to relax and the rooftop bar gives a nice view with delicious drinks.

It is very close to Denver downtown and hotel is relatively clean, it felt 3 star not 4 star for sure. Their rooftop is pretty good.

Great hotel. The room was great, plenty of space for 2 people. The bed was comfy and we really liked the projector to watch tv. It's in a good location, not too far from Downtown but far enough from it to not be full of traffic or loud crowds. The rooftop bar was a cool place to hang out. I would definitely rebook if I'm ever in Denver again.

Always my tried and true when going through Denver. Cutest little rooftop with drinks and chess. My love language. Trains drop off from airport and take you anywhere you need from Denver to mountains. Cute, chic, affordable. And book through Costco travel they waive the nightly resort fees.

Before picking this hotel , I read the reviews that were good and bad. So I'm here to set some of the bad reviews straight. When you are on walnut and you see the hotel , there will be signs that say valet. We decided to use the service since we were not going to be using our car all night. Yes it is $50 but they have parking for $20. We decided to use the valet since we are not familiar with the area and wanted to be sure we did not get towed. They will not give you a card , but they will send you a text that you can use to request your car. When you walk in , it is a different lobby style that encourages people to hang out. You will check in at the restaurant not a desk. But it's right inside the door so there's no real confusion. I read that people said that if you are on the top floor you hear the rooftop bar until they close. We stayed on the fourth floor and did not hear anything. You can hear the rooftop bar even when you're outside and it seems like everybody was having fun but we did not go up. We attended the empire strips back that was just down the street. Fifteen minutes walking. We ate across the street at a great place called black shirt brewing. Fantastic pizza and pretzel. When we got back from our event , we went to our room. Some of the issues that people addressed in their complaints did not affect us at all. Some people said that they were unable to block out the sun if they wanted to sleep in because you do have a giant window that has a projector screen. All we did was push the button to bring down the blackout screen. It worked perfectly. Just Like in the pictures , you will see that there is a shower that is all glass. People said that it was weird that from the bed. There was a window looking into the bathroom. The bed is raised off of the regular entry floor. We found this to be cool and not weird. The bed was super cozy. Pillows were great. We slept Fantastically! In your email, you will get a message saying, select this when you're ready to check out and you push a button. When you get downstairs , there's a box , you drop your keycards in it. There are some things to take note of: Valet only opens at 6am. You need to tell them when you plan on checking out, If it is before that time. When you check out , they are going to charge you $30 for a destination fee? I would also recommend that you book your stay on a site like Expedia. I booked on the hotel site directly and I do not recommend that. I never got a confirmation email. And when I called all of the numbers , it was very confusing. I was actually pretty stressed that I may not have actually booked a hotel and I was scammed. Everything turned out to be fine when I got there but I was in true panic mode. All in all , we really enjoyed our stay. Since I never got an email , I cannot tell you why my stay was originally a hundred and thirty dollars but turned out to be two hundred and thirty dollars. But it was nice, and convenient to where we were going that night and it was for my husband's birthday So it is what it is. We would stay here again.I would just book it differently. We did not eat breakfast here because we left before the restaurant opened. So for that , I am not able to give you any reviews. We Also, did not get room service or have any issues. So we didn't have to deal with staff that much. The people we did deal with when we checked in, used valet and saw in the morning we nice. So to close this out , the only issue I had was my fault in the booking process of using their direct page. Other than that, we would stay here again If we had an event in that area. We felt safe it was able to walk around with no issues. We would stay here again.

Very nice rooms with great location!

Youth hostel experience at luxury hotel prices, complete with being able to hear other guests having sex through the walls all night. The front desk is sparsely staffed, and the service provided by those who are there was exceptionally lacking. After a long day of traveling, it felt like staff simply couldn't be bothered. The valet stood idly by as I fumbled with my own bags, and multiple managers watched me look confused without a single greeting or offer to help. The self check-in process failed completely. I had to hunt down a manager with my luggage still in tow, only to have them stand beside me while I figured it out myself. If staff aren't there to assist guests, what exactly is the point of having them there at all? My TV didn't work for the entire duration of my stay. When I brought it up, the front desk manager offered a shoulder shrug with no solution, no compensation, nothing. That response sums up the attitude of this staff perfectly: they simply do not care about your experience. Highly recommend staying elsewhere.
