Hilton Grand Vacations Club Maui Bay Villas

Rooms and Service is a solid 5. I have not had service as quick and prompt anywhere in US before. I travel quite a lot, this place takes the icing on the cake. Location could have been better. Highly recommend this property.

This service here is exceptional. Every staff member we encountered was so lovely and polite, they truly made our experience memorable. However, the beds (or at least ours) are awful. I’ve never woken up with so many aches and pains in my entire life. I actually dreaded sleeping knowing how much pain I would be in in the morning. On top of that, if you are a light sleeper, the constant noises of the bidet, fridge, and ceiling fans will keep you up all night. Another disappointment was the food. You have 3 options, 2 restaurants and a grab and go. The grab and go is extremely disappointing with very little options and poor coffee. The beach restaurant has a limited menu of “American food” with no authentic Hawaiian cuisine options. I cannot speak for the pool bar as we opted for ubereats for the remainder of our stay. Overall, this is a nice place to stay if you’re not interested in relaxing sleep or food options. The grounds are very well maintained and the pools are nice.

Please avoid this place if you don’t want to be woken up by roosters at 4 a.m. As mentioned by the hotel reception, it was supposedly “unavoidable,” but I disagree. I stayed at another hotel nearby and did not experience this issue at all. (Photo attached was not taken at 4am but just to let you know, unless you are a big fan of rooster, please avoid this place)

Decent resort but there were a couple weird instances during my stay: 1. The wrong guest's name was displayed on the television's welcome screen. 2. Security knocked on our door at 5 a.m., waking us up, claiming they were there because we called in an emergency. We did not and it turned out they went to the wrong room. Other than that, the pool is nice with plenty of seating areas. I wish the food options were better; the hours are very limited.

Rooms are a bit beat up (dirty tile) and cheaply made (floor is lifting). Tiny tiny tiny shower. “Private” beach is a postage stamp size, no safe path to beach and no foot wash station. Restaurant on property was pretty good. This is a timeshare property to beware of “concierge” calls for package excursions, you will have to sit through the sales pitch.

This HGV truly stands out among the few I’ve stayed at. The team here really know how to treat guests for a memorable stay that makes you want to come back again. From the smiling, helpful valet at the door to the pleasant sincere welcome the moment of entry, the polite, patient check in with explanation of amenities, recommended parking areas and I was asked if there was any special occasion which was nice (I was not asked this at the other HGV we stayed at prior). We checked the location before booking so we were well aware of proximity to the beach including access to it. We had patient and courteous staff in all areas including the pool. Texted questions were answered promptly and requests were granted immediately. The rooms were great and kitchens were very useful during our stay. There were no construction noises even though we were right beside the new buildings. And we got a pleasant surprise after check out which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff at Maui Bay Villas made me feel really special and a valued guest. Thank you Sachiko, Shanelle, Olena, Mitsuko, Myra, Netanya and to the rest of the staff at Maui Bay Villas. When you treat guests with great care and warmth it truly makes a lasting impression. We will be back to stay here again. Mahalo

Great facilities with a very enthusiastic team. This was our second summer trip and each building was exceptionally clean and well maintained.

HGV MAX status delivered, with one asterisk: we landed in Building 10, which is to the pool what economy is to first class. The balcony view came with a complimentary construction site. Charming. Inside the room, the story flips. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchenette, dining area, seating area, all freshly designed and refreshingly un-dated. The layout actually thinks about how people use a suite, which is rarer than it should be. The only off note was a faint chemical mustiness in the air. Not mold, not neglect, just something synthetic lingering where it shouldn't. Staff were genuinely excellent across every interaction. Multiple pools, a beach club, ocean-view rooms if you book smart. The amenities are real, not marketing. Bottom line: the property earns its reputation. Just request a building that isn't auditioning for a renovation brochure, and ask for a room that's had time to air out.
