Still Life Drawing Sessions

Tuesdays: August 18th, 25th, September 1st, 8th, and 15th from 6pm – 8pm
Thursdays: August 20th, 27th, September 3rd, 10th and 17th from 11am – 1pm

Join us for self-directed still life drawing sessions! Whether you’re a total newbie, a seasoned pro, or somewhere in between come spend time with like-minded folks and exercise your creative muscles.
Ugly Dumpling will provide a still life scene to draw or paint, and space to work with large flat work tables and a limited number of tabletop easels. Attendees should plan to bring supplies in their medium of choice, whether painting or drawing. Beginning-level, low-cost drawing supplies are available for purchase both a la carte and in discounted bundles.
Some guidance for getting started is available for total beginners, but formal instruction is not provided for these sessions. A group critique will be held during the last 10-15 minutes for those who want feedback to improve their skills.
Session fee is pay-what-you-can; cash, card, and Venmo accepted. Suggested session fee is $3 or a small object to donate to the studio’s growing collection of still life props. Examples: interesting vases and bowls, small tchotchkes and knickknacks that can sit upright on a flat surface, fake fruit or foliage. || Pay-what-you-can; suggested admission $3
