Quatrefoil Library

Quatrefoil Library is one of the oldest LGBTQ+ lending libraries in the United States, founded in 1983 and named for the gay novel of the same name. Now housed on East Lake Street, it holds tens of thousands of books, periodicals, films and archival materials by and about queer people, all free to borrow. It doubles as a community center, hosting book clubs, support groups, board meetings and social gatherings throughout the week. For visitors it offers a quiet, welcoming window into Twin Cities queer history and community life.
