Audubon Park

At the St. Charles end of Audubon Park, the benches around the Gumbel Fountain and the oak-shaded paths behind it turn into a quiet, low-key meeting ground after dark — roughly 8 to 11pm, quieter than anything in the Quarter and better for it.

Know before you go: security rolls through about hourly, and the park officially closes at 10pm — stay casual, stay mobile. For the louder version of New Orleans cruising, the bar blocks of the Marigny (the famous 'Fruit Loop' circuit) are fifteen minutes away and never really close.
