I’ve been a regular here, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. A fight broke out during my visit and my drink was spilled on me as a result. When I calmly explained the situation to the bartender, nothing was done to remedy it. I even tried to escalate it to the owner, and still, no resolution. Considering the drinks here are around $22, I expected a much higher level of customer service and accountability. This situation definitely made me reevaluate whether I want to continue coming back.

I was excited when this first opened. Now you got worry about the disrespectful staff, people shooting at the bar, being sexually violated, the owner not hearing none of your complains. How do you make the victims the bad guys. Lol you make the people that's putting money in your establishment feel uncomfortable and unjust. Do yall self a favor IF you got to have fun in harlem "4 west" is really fun and respectful. Too many sister wives of the owner is working at the bar. WHOLE BAR NEEDS A MAKEOVER AND NOT JUST THE BUILDING BUT THE STAFF

Lambda Lounge is a lot of fun and it's a welcoming environment. Game night is great where the best players get to talk trash and take names. Many lasting friendships are made here by meeting people from every walk of life. Thank you Richard Solomon for creating an environment that is FUN and filled with laughter.

I visited this bar recently and unfortunately the experience wasn’t good. The staff came off very rude and the overall energy felt off. As a customer who is spending money and supporting a business, basic respect shouldn’t feel like too much to ask. I especially try to support Black-owned businesses, so it was disappointing to feel like the attitude was intentionally mean for no reason. After reading some of the other reviews, it seems like I’m not the only one who noticed something off with the way customers are treated. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously because the vibe from the staff really matters.

This place allows bouncers to assault people just for voicing disagreements with them. I’ve never felt more afraid of a bar in my life and honestly, this place has no place in NYC. I understand it is black-owned and gay….but they are not representing any of us in a positive light. I also feel like maybe the bouncers are so aggressive because they don’t agree. The reviews don’t lie.

Bouncer knocked me out and broke my ankle. Was drinking here, having a good time. Stepped out for a smoke, and when I tried to go back in, bouncer said I looked too young. I offered to show my ID. He said nah. I asked if I could at least go back in and close my tab. He said nah. We started arguing, and he sucker punched me out of nowhere. Knocked me out cold on the concrete. Twisted my ankle on the way down. Don't come here.

A huge thank you to the club owners and every guest we met for their hospitality. Thank you for the atmosphere of goodwill, kindness, and loyalty. Thank you for the new, wonderful memories we can now relive. Russian neighbors from Harlem.

If you’re visiting from out of town. This place is dangerous. The owners allows his staff to be very disrespectful to customers. The owners are messy and participate in drama. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE.

The BEST! The music, the people, the vibe, the best!

Went to this club and was very disappointed. First red flag they had a male security searching females. Music was terrible. Couch in what appeared to be a VIP area looked terrible. The price for drinks is ridiculous. When you look around in my honest opinion they need to close this place down and do some maintenance/renovation. Went there with five of my friends and we ended up leaving for somewhere else. Y’all need to do better!

First red flag was the doorman searching inside my bag with his bare hands, no gloves, touching all over my personal property before he patted me down like he was TSA looking for weapons of mass destruction. The second red flag was that it was 11pm on a Friday and there were 2 other people there. The final red flag- the bartender added an automatic gratuity to my tab but failed to tell me about it. And it doesn’t show on the handheld payment device either. I only noticed that I double tipped when I looked at my receipt. It’s tough to support a black business when the staff practices deception- all for an extra $1.50. No thanks.
