The Duplex

Loved the vibe of the bar when I spent Saturday evening there. The one major downside, however, has been that my wife lost her phone there. We looked the night of with no success. Now two days later and we can't get ahold of anyone. No response from the Lost and Found voicemail. No one picks up the phone to try to talk to a team member. We've called over a dozen times at this point at all different times of their business hours. I also sent them a message on their Instagram. Obviously not their fault she lost their phone but, we know the phone is somewhere at the bar. Just would appreciate being able to make contact with someone who can assist.

Heads up — you can host private events upstairs!! Love duplex, and it was so fun to host my work Pride event here. Luke was our bartender, and he was absolutely fantastic. Super friendly, fun, and a great singer to boot!!

Great atmosphere overall, and the live music was definitely a highlight of the evening. The pianist was genuinely talented—played beautifully and had an interesting, engaging singing style, which added a lot to the experience. On the downside, the cocktails were extremely watered down—there was barely any alcohol taste at all, especially considering they were $17 each. At this place, I’d honestly recommend sticking to beer or wine instead. The prices are on the higher side, although that may be expected for this location. Also, it got very stuffy inside, which made it a bit uncomfortable after a while. Overall, a nice spot for live music, but the drinks were disappointing.

Honestly, one of the best gay bars in the city. Even better if you can get a spot outside! Special shout-out to our bartender KJ! 🫶🏻

Wesley was an outstanding bartender from start to finish. He was friendly, professional, and made every guest feel welcome while serving drinks quickly and accurately. His attention to detail, positive attitude, and great customer service made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Wesley truly went above and beyond, and I’d absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a top-notch bartender.

As bars go there are better ones. Friendly bartender and patrons appeared to be enjoying themselves, but the place is worn-looking and overpriced. Sat at the bar and a distinctly stale beer + well vodka tonic came to $25 at an early evening hour when there was no live music/performance. I'm familiar with NYC prices, this is excessive for the setting and location.

we absolutely LOVE duplex and that is largely due to the amazing talent and woman that is bria. she is so attentive and kind, her service (and voice) are what keep us coming back but the entire team and atmosphere is excellent. make the visit!!
