Dreamy Draw Recreation Area is a public trailhead and hiking area in the Phoenix Mountains Preserve, run by the City of Phoenix and used all day by hikers, runners, mountain bikers and families. Older online forum posts describe it as a gay cruising area, but we found no current independent source, so treat that as history rather than fact. Arizona law (ARS 13-1403) makes public sexual indecency a misdemeanour, and rangers patrol the preserve. Summer heat here is dangerous, and the city closes some trails on extreme-heat days. If you want a men's space, Phoenix's two bathhouses, The Chute and Flex Spas, are legal, private and open around the clock.
