Quilcene Lantern

Went for a concert and had a great time. This is an awesome spot to hangout and listen to music. They had some reasonably priced beer too!

As soon as we got engaged we started dreaming about getting married at the Quilcene Lantern. Laurie got back to us right away, and was available for countless questions and tours in our decisions making process. I can't imagine a better person to work with on planning such an event. I felt like I had no idea what I was doing most of the time through the planning process, but meeting with Laurie always put me at ease. She is incredibly accommodating, and was so genuine in wanting to make things as easy as possible for us. We had our ceremony in the barn and the reception in the milkshed. It was a small and simple spring wedding, and we are so grateful to have had the opportunity to get married here!

Quilcene Lantern is a unique new venue for the Kitsap Peninsula. We’ve only visited for shows out on by String and Shadow Puppet Theater, which are really fun.

We got married at the Quilcene Lantern and I can’t say enough good things about this place or the family who runs it. The De Koch crew are truly wonderful, kind, communicative, and flexible humans. They set such a calm, supportive tone for the whole weekend. We were able to bring in our own caterer (who’d worked there before), and the venue provided tables and chairs within the rental. The property hosted both our ceremony and reception, and they were so open to our ideas. Our friends and family loved being able to stay on site in the cabins, it made everything feel easy and connected. We stayed there too, which took a lot of stress out of the day. The drinks were fire (we had a slimmed down bar and a margarita as our signature cocktail), and the whole day went by so smoothly that it honestly felt like we blinked and it was over. As a DIY bride, I didn’t realize how much the overwhelm of those final planning days would hit me, but in the end, I couldn’t have asked for a better venue—or better people—to make it all feel effortless.

Beautiful venue, cabins, camping and vibe. The owners and staff are absolutely incredible. Highly recommend a visit or stay, you won't regret it!

We had our wedding at the Lantern and it was a truly magical day! The lantern has the best staff, lodging, acoustics and has a wholesome rustic feel while also being chic, clean and well cared for! From the moment we walked into the Quilcene Lantern, we felt like part of the family. What began as a simple visit to find a wedding venue turned into discovering something truly special. The family who owns the property welcomed us with open arms—from the very first day when we showed up unannounced and were still given a full tour by their son. Laurie met with my mom and me multiple times before we decided this was the place we wanted to celebrate our wedding, and she couldn’t have been more kind or accommodating. Laurie and her team went above and beyond to answer every question and to make our day unforgettable. They exceeded all our expectations and made the entire weekend feel like a peaceful woodsy retreat surrounded by our closest friends and family. The on-site rooms were wonderful, allowing our entire bridal party to stay together. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the property, the staff, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our wedding weekend was absolutely perfect, and I would highly recommend the Quilcene Lantern to anyone looking for a magical place to get married.

Always a good time at the Lantern. Friendly, relaxed, warm atmosphere and every concert we’ve come for has been exceptional. Last night with Bete Grise and friends was just another example!

Adorable place! We came on a Sunday so I wish we paid closer attention that their bar wasn’t actually open that day, but otherwise we had fun!
