HI Truro Hostel

HI Truro USA is not your typical holiday hostel. It is an experience in itself. The cape can get really busy and crowded over the summer and if you are looking at enjoying a balance of the outdoors, serenity of nature and be able to pop into the nearby towns for some shopping and fun then this hostel is your deal. The rooms both independent or as part of the dormitory are comfortable and the facilities are pleasant. The common area, kitchen and bathrooms are neat clean and well maintained. Linens are clean and fresh and when requested will be changed if necessary. The staff is friendly, warm and genuinely caring. They have details about things to do around and at the nearby towns. If you have a car or you are biking the hostel is about 5-7 minutes away from the FLEX bus stop that takes you all around the cape. If you are walking it’s a good 35-40 minutes. The SMART DART cab facility is your best bet in that case. It runs from Mon to Fri within a certain time frame and you can use the app to book your pick up and drop off from the hostel to the bus stop. The hostel has a beach nearby and several trails. It also has a lovely porch and a good selection of books to just relax around or unwind. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here thoroughly. I made amazing friends and met wonderful people who I will cherish for a lifetime. Emily, Makenzie and Shayna are absolutely incredible with everything at HI Truro and I wish the girls the absolute best in all their endeavors. To more trips and stays at HI Truro.

Certain rooms don’t have AC. Call before making reservations. This Summer the green head flies were vicious. Staff are nice and helpful.

Great location. Check in took a bit of time but can’t complain. For the price, I think it was worth it

the best hostel with the best people!!! every friday there’s a bonfire on the beach right next to the hostel and you make s’mores together :)

If you are someone who frequently uses hostels, this place is perfect.
