Crush Dance Bar

The Ball event at Crush was amazing, and the entertainment alone almost made this a 5-star experience. The drinks, however, were overpriced. What ruined the night was the inconsistent treatment by the GM, Aiden (pictured in the white t-shirt and jeans). I went upstairs because multiple patrons were actively smoking, making it seem like a designated smoking area. After I lit my cigarette, Aiden immediately took it from me and later told me it had been thrown away because smoking was against policy. The problem wasn't the policy—it was the selective enforcement. When I pointed out that several other people were still smoking directly beneath a clearly visible "No Smoking" sign (see photo), nothing was said to them. If it's truly the policy, enforce it equally. Don't single out one customer while ignoring everyone else. A polite request to put it out would have been sufficient. Instead, my cigarette was taken and discarded, which came across as rude, unnecessary, and unprofessional. Great event, but poor management and inconsistent enforcement left a bad impression.

A few friends and I went to crush to celebrate my 25th birthday, and we were very impressed. The music was the best I’ve heard in a bar in a LONG time - had my friends and I dancing for hours. Not to mention, the bar service was great and the drinks well priced. There are two floors, and both bring a different vibe in the best way. We ended up going back two more times during our trip. Highly recommend.

My experience last Friday was disappointing, mostly because of the bartender on the top floor. He was vaping behind the bar while serving drinks… Whether it’s allowed or not, it felt unprofessional and unsanitary. He also seemed to enforce the “don’t stand by this section of the bar” rule selectively—telling some people to move while letting others stay in the exact same spot. Combined with a less-than-friendly attitude, it left a bad impression on the bday group. My coworkers and I have been talking about the experience which leads me to leave a review. Hopefully this was an off night, but it’s enough to make me think twice about coming back.
