A place with a good location near the sea view, the breakfast was very tasty, but they could use more variety in the drinks. I didn't like that the Wi-Fi reception wasn't good on the floor where I was staying, and the room wasn't cleaned regularly; I had to request cleaning from reception, and even then, they weren't always prompt.

Rooms were outdated. But the service and amenities were outstanding!, Staff were friendly and helpful, the location is right at the entry of the Ciudad Colonial. So walking distance to the main attractions. Free breakfast with many options to choose from. The FREE parking is just on the street, so not a real private parking. Overall experience was good!

Excellent service and very nice

One of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. I rented a suite with a balcony and kitchenette, and absolutely everything was disappointing: the place was in deplorable condition, with obvious dirt throughout the room. The service was equally poor. None of the staff could clearly answer our questions about utensils or basic amenities. The bathroom door wouldn't close, the few dishes available were extremely dirty, and the coffee maker didn't even work. The food was just as bad. Breakfast was unacceptable: we even found cockroaches, which is completely unsanitary and alarming. Although the location is good, it doesn't compensate at all for the terrible state of the hotel. The facilities are clearly neglected. The pool, moreover, is excessively deep, making it impractical for swimming and completely unsuitable for children and the elderly. I do not recommend this place under any circumstances. I've attached photos as evidence.

My experience at this accommodation was very bad, and I would not recommend it. Upon arrival, the first room had a completely damp bed (mattress, sheets, and pillows), so we requested an immediate change. The problems continued in the second room: the air conditioning wasn't working, it leaked water and was very noisy, the humidity was extremely high, and there was a constant presence of ants and mosquitoes. In addition, a very unpleasant odor was coming from the sink drain, which made the stay even more uncomfortable. The condition of the bed was also poor: one of the sheets was missing (only the bottom one was provided), and the pillows were in very bad shape, extremely hard and moldy. The accommodation description mentions services such as free toiletries, a streaming service (like Netflix), and other amenities that were not actually available. There were no toiletries provided, and at no point were we informed that they were not being provided. After reporting these problems again, they offered us a third room, but after spending the first night unable to rest, and considering my pregnancy, we decided to leave. What's most striking is that the place has excellent social media marketing, but the reality is completely different. If you check other platforms like Google, you'll see that there are several reviews that echo these problems, while here on Booking.com, the lack of cleanliness and maintenance seems to be downplayed. I have requested that Booking.com review this accommodation due to the hygiene and living conditions I observed. I do not recommend staying at this place.

The service was excellent, the receptionist was very friendly, and they also have tour agencies throughout the Dominican Republic. I took the tour to Saona Island, a very nice experience. Afterwards, I returned to cool off in the hotel pool. They have a restaurant and bar, and it's very well located in the Colonial Zone.

The hotel is not as it appears in the photos. The rooms are very small, the bathroom floods, water spills out, and the area around the bed floods. Cleaning is minimal; I didn't see cockroaches in the rooms, but the kitchen was filthy. Breakfast doesn't include juice, only bread that's disgusting to toast because the toaster is so dirty. They serve coffee with milk that has no flavor, and when I asked for water for tea, it took ages and they gave it to me lukewarm. The pool is nice, but it's not as it looks in the photos. The location is quite close to the boardwalk. And the management service is good; they offer a tour service that's also very good.

The room is fine, but it has a small kitchenette without utensils, so it's not really usable. The internet is bad and I couldn't get them to change the towels. The restaurant staff are very friendly, especially Jennifer. They don't replenish the breakfast items; if you arrive at 9, breakfast starts at 8.

The breakfast croissants weren't fresh, breakfast in general wasn't very good, and the room had some mold. Room 305 needs maintenance, and the water pressure was bad. The restaurant and dinner at Manjar were delicious, and the service from the waitress was excellent. Rhance at reception was very friendly, and we received excellent service from him, but they should pay more attention to the rooms. The Rig Experience, which is cheaper, has better rooms and breakfast. And a few other minor things not worth mentioning.

We stayed at the RIG COLONIAL EXPERIENCE (4 nights) and then at the same chain, the RIG PUERTO MALECON, for 8 nights (my husband and I). What we valued most was the attention given by the staff, and especially by RHANSE and JUANA. Their service was outstanding. We had problems with the hot water for a couple of days, and they were very attentive in resolving it. Thank you so much!
