Thorne Harbour Health (SA)

I only attended 2 sessions before year end closure and then made a surprise migration from SA to The Great Southern WA, where I don't believe I can receive the same sort of support (I don't think) My sessions with my councillor were liberating, and actually helped me learn a bit about myself and feel a while lot more comfortable with who I am. It has in fact ignited a flame inside me to persue training and a career in peer support (lived experience). I am truly sad that I am unable to continue proper counselling with MT, and draw on the knowledge and insight they have that applies so accurately to my life. And even draw on what could be indispensable guidance with regard to NDIS. I should have looked for you at Pride in Albany a few weeks back, but didn't think of it. Maybe you do have a presence here...? Thank you for everything.

A great service. For our community this is such a valuable service. The staff have helped me more than anyone in my whole life, ever. Staff are friendly, compassionate, knowledgeable, professional, empathetic and genuinely great people. They really do care. They have helped me with so much especially the counsellors and peer support workers. I really like that from the reception staff to management, they know who you are. They always greet you warmly and it's genuine. I can never give enough praise or thank you all so much for your help. I'd hate to think where I'd be without the help and support. If you need help; contact these guys, their worth their weight in gold plus a whole lot more. Thank you everyone at Thorne Harbour Health your absolutely fabulous!!!

i've been referred here twice for help with life stuff but the workers here are more disorganised than me... communication is terrible

A friend of mine has been going here. He said the counsellor he has been seeing has been really helpful. First time he has spoken with a trans guy and felt he could actually open up about gender stuff. Cheers for all you guys do!

I've be receiving help from peer councillors for a while and honestly that cultivate a really comfortable environment
