Pink Bar is a small, unpretentious gay bar in the Wuhou university district — the area around Sichuan University and several other higher education institutions that produces the young, educated, liberal crowd that defines Chengdu's more tolerant social environment. The bar is explicitly gay-identified, relaxed about it, and serves a community of regulars who come for cheap drinks and comfortable company rather than a nightclub experience. Good as a warm-up before Funky Town or as a standalone option for those looking for a quieter evening. The Wuhou location makes it the natural second venue in a Chengdu gay evening.
