Patna Pride (Bihar Pride March)

Patna Pride is organised by Dostana Safar, the trans-led group headed by Reshma Prasad. The first march, on 29 March 2012, was about 20 people walking from Gandhi Maidan to Dak Bunglow Chowk with Project Pehchaan. On 14 July 2019 the Bihar Pride Parade brought about 500 people from the Hindi Sahitya Sammelan to the Premchand Rangshala with a 500-metre transgender flag. The march has since settled around 14 July, International Non-Binary People's Day: on 14 July 2025 about 300 people, including students from Patna Women's College, walked from the Bihar Hindi Sahitya Sammelan to Dinkar Golambar. Dostana Safar also held a Lovers Pride Parade around Gandhi Maidan on 14 February 2025. We found no report of a 2026 march, and no 2027 date had been announced when we checked in October 2026.
