Due to the building's historical structure, each room is unique, offering varying views, from less to better, and from noisy front rooms to quieter upstairs rooms. Overall, this hotel isn't a pristine new build, but rather a renovated gem with plenty of modern art (for those who appreciate it, of course). The location is superb (just a 3-7 minute walk to Schlossbergplatz/Murinsel/Hauptplatz), with a tram stop right outside, a private parking garage (understandably, a staff member handles the car lifts), and beautiful terraces on the hillside (some with steep steps). There's also a small pool open in the summer. The breakfast is truly excellent (coffee and eggs cooked to order), and the bar and reception are staffed 24/7. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. If you're looking for something special, something beyond the boring, sterile feel of typical new hotels, this is the perfect place. ... Oh yes: to be able to watch TV from bed, I had to turn the set a bit (but I managed it). The mattress firmness was fine for three of us four couples, my girlfriend even managed to get the blackout curtains on (she's a bit particular about that), the windows can be opened (it was a little warm in the room), the Nespresso machine worked, and there was complimentary water. I don't need a (usually equally expensive) minibar when the room service brings my drinks to me, and even the dog was pampered. Charm, flair, and top-notch staff!

I was very excited when I booked this hotel, as its reputation and five-star rating raised high expectations. Unfortunately, my stay did not fully meet these expectations. While the hotel possesses a certain historical charm that particularly appeals to guests who appreciate a traditional, imperial ambiance reminiscent of the time of Emperor Franz Joseph, I had expected a higher level of comfort and modern amenities befitting its classification. I offer this feedback with the utmost respect and hope that it will be received constructively.

A very nice hotel in a perfect location. The staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful, and always has a smile. The food is excellent, fresh, and delicious. Everything was clean, comfortable, and very well organized. We felt completely at ease and would love to come back. Highly recommended! ⭐️
