Creative and tasty food. Good service and warm atmosphere. - Schnitzel has a nice airy crisp breading, and good cook - Calamari risotto had a diverse flavour profile and perfectly cooked - Veal pasta was a little salty, but otherwise deep and rich flavour - Beef steak had a good cook and came with a unique chocolate sauce. My only feedback is that the sauce should have a deeper beef breath or more sugar in it to ease the sharper contrast of the flavours of beef and sauce. - Sea bass was better than standard, but could be better. Slightly overcooked, and skin should be crispy, not neglected. - some dishes have this cool black fish bones crisp on the top for decor, cool addition. Overall good vibes all around. Great spot to elevate and end a day in Vienna.

So good! Food definitely exceeded expectations. Menu changes from time to time, so the dishes you see here might not be available by the time you go. Favourites: the calamari mushroom risotto had a fresh and light flavour that I typically wouldn’t expect in a risotto. For sure the highlight of the dinner. Veal schnitzel also stood out. The breading was light and crispy. Arguably the best schnitzel in Vienna. Also ordered: sea bass, veal tagliolini, beef fillet. All were delicious!!!! Wish I left some room for dessert so will need to make a trip back for it

We've been guests at Ef16 for years, and whenever our travels allow, a stopover in Vienna and dinner at Ef16 is a must. Dominik and Sascha always take care of us professionally and kindly. The kitchen sends out courses of the highest quality, and there's never been a dish we didn't enjoy. The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly, which we really appreciate.

I've been to ef16 several times and have never been disappointed. The food is consistently excellent, creative, but not overdone—simply delicious and high-quality. On top of that, the team is incredibly friendly and makes you feel instantly welcome. This is exactly how I imagine a relaxed restaurant visit should be. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend ef16 to anyone looking for a truly great meal in Vienna :)

The food was decent, but there was a lot of fried food. The selection was limited, but the food was tasty. The atmosphere on the terrace, located just steps from the restaurant, needs improvement.

Came here for my wife's birthday and asked the waiter early on to arrange a small surprise. He agreed - then did nothing all evening. At the very end he brought a dessert menu, and when we said we were too full, he came back and shoved a candle in a glass, lit it, and told us to "enjoy." Enjoy what — a candle in a glass? That was the "surprise." Lazy and thoughtless from start to finish. If it depended on us ordering dessert, say so - instead he stayed silent, let the whole evening pass, and threw together the bare minimum once it was already ruined. It soured what should have been a special night for my wife.

We were very happy with our experience at EF16. The food was outstanding, and every dish was full of flavor. The chef is truly talented—it feels like cooking is what they were born to do. The service was excellent as well. The staff were professional, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The only small downside was that the chairs were not very comfortable. If the seating were more comfortable, the experience would have been absolutely perfect. Highly recommended!

The lamb was great, the mushroom ravioli were inedible, sandy and very salty, the rest was ok.

A truly top-notch restaurant! A small alleyway, a terrace nestled among ivy-covered buildings creates a cozy and romantic atmosphere. Whether on your plate or in your glass, the experience will be fabulous. We ordered two Viennese specialties: veal and escalope, and we couldn't have dreamed of a better experience. Impeccable service and very reasonable prices. Highly recommended!
