It is attached to a sports complex and offers simple dorm beds and private rooms, plus an on-site restaurant and bar. The Sonian Forest is close by, which suits walkers and cyclists more than nightlife seekers. It is a long way from the city centre and the gay bars around Rue du Marché au Charbon, so plan on a bus or tram ride each way. It works best as a cheap, quiet base, or for groups and sports visitors, rather than for a short city break.

We stayed in a private room with a toilet and bathroom. Spacious room. Bar/restaurant inside. It's great and not far from Brussels and the cultural center.

A good hostel for a fair price. You can also book sports activities on-site for an extra charge. Otherwise, it has everything you need. It's a bit outside the town, but a bus leaves hourly right outside, and the nearest S-Bahn (suburban train) station is a 10-minute walk away.
