Athens Pride is Greece's national LGBTQ+ celebration, held each June in the ancient capital where Western civilization began. The parade through Syntagma Square, with the Parthenon visible on the Acropolis above, creates one of the most symbolically resonant backdrops of any pride event in the world. Athens Pride has grown significantly over the past decade, now drawing tens of thousands to the city's central square and the festival village at the National Gardens. Greece legalized same-sex civil partnerships in 2015 and, following years of campaigning, legalized same-sex marriage in 2024 — making Athens Pride 2026 one of the first full celebrations of marriage equality in the country.

Thessaloniki Gay Pride is Northern Greece's annual LGBTQ+ celebration, held in Greece's second city — known for its vibrant cultural life, Byzantine architecture, and large student population. The parade through the city's waterfront and central Aristotelous Square draws tens of thousands and has become one of the Balkans' most significant pride events. Thessaloniki's pride has particular significance as a Balkan regional hub: LGBTQ+ people from North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Serbia and Albania travel to participate in a march that would be impossible or dangerous in their home countries. The city's large student population and cosmopolitan character make it one of the most welcoming cities in southeastern Europe.

For six days, thousands of gay men from across Europe, the Americas and Asia fill the island for pool parties, beach events, and legendary nightclub spectaculars at Mykonos's world-famous venues. The island's natural setting — whitewashed Cycladic architecture, the iconic windmills above Hora, turquoise Aegean waters, and the legendary golden beaches of Psarou and Paradise — makes XLSIOR a uniquely beautiful circuit experience. Unlike festival venues in convention centers or warehouses, XLSIOR's parties happen at the actual nightclubs, beach clubs, and hotel pools that define Mykonos nightlife. XLSIOR has grown steadily since 2011 and now draws 10,000+ attendees from 60+ countries.
